Moving Regulations

  1. Select a company representative to coordinate your move; usually this person is your Tenant Coordinator.
  2. Select the date of the move. All moves must be scheduled for after building hours or weekends. Building hours are 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday - Friday.
  3. Notify the Building Management Office thirty (30) days prior to your moving date. A Colliers representative will review the moving rules with you and assist you in determining the best route for your move. At this time you will also need to reserve the freight elevator for your move; you will not be able to use passenger elevators, as they are not designed for that purpose.
  4. Select your moving company. The following movers are approved union contractors: Boyer Rosene Moving & Storage, Hagemaster Moving and Storage, Hallett & Sons Expert Movers, Inc., Joyce Brothers Storage & Van Co., O’Hare Van Line, Pickens Kane Moving and Storage and 3MD Relocation Service. A certificate of insurance is required from your moving company prior to the move date complying with the requirements specified in the Lease.
  5. All furnishings and equipment must be delivered through the freight elevator. Protective covering, such as masonite, must cover your entire route through the building, all walls and fixtures must be protected with cardboard corner guards. The elevator must have protective padding on the walls and masonite on the floor. Colliers will provide the padding for the elevators but will not provide masonite for the floors. Any damage to the building caused by the moving process will be the responsibility of the tenant.

During the move, a Colliers building engineer will be required to handle any questions or problems that may arise; a standard charge for engineering services would be assessed.

  1. All empty boxes and packaging materials should be removed from the premises.
  2. After the move is complete, all protective materials must be removed.

Colliers reserves the right to interrupt the move at any time if the above rules are violated.
